The Honeywell HumidIcon™ Digital Humidity/Temperature Sensors, HIH6100 Series, are digital output-type relative humidity (RH) and temperature sensors combined in the same package. These sensors provide an accuracy level of ±4.0 %RH and a temperature accuracy level of ±0.5 °C.
The easiest way to use this sensor is to purchase it on a breakout board. These boards are available from most hardware kit suppliers. The one we use was purchased from Sparkfun and is shown above.
The supply voltage of HIH6130 must be in the range of 2.3 – 5.5V, recommended supply voltage is 3.3V.
Power supply pins Supply Voltage (VDD) and Ground (GND) must be decoupled with a capacitor. Refer to Suggested Circuit below.
